If your chapter has a chair or committee dedicated to Design for Good, encourage them to focus on GOTV efforts in the late summer and fall.
Include the GOTV/voter registration link in all of your chapter communication materials.
Throw a big GOTV poster show, invite bands, artists, designers, makers to participate. To cater to the 18-25 year old population (you know…the big chunk of people who don’t vote) you could host this on a college campus or student center.
Display GOTV/registration information, hang national GOTV posters, mention GOTV at all of your meetups/events from now until November 8th.
Our goal is to have EVERY AIGA member registered to vote, do your part to make sure everyone in your chapter is registered.
Team up with the League of Women Voters to host a registration event.
Use local spaces that are in high foot traffic areas, currently unoccupied, to host poster shows and registration services.
Creative Reaction Lab is hosting a 1-hour social innovation blitz addressing the issue of voter apathy.
